GMC’s first luxury midsize pickup
Having launched the most “Ultimate” edition of its full-size Sierra Denali pickup yet, GMC has also announced that it is bringing its well-known luxury trim to the midsize Canyon as well. The 2017 Canyon Denali will be offered on crew cab models and in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. In terms of powertrain, you’ll be able to choose between the standard 3.6-liter V6 or the 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel. The V6 will get you 26 miles per gallon highway, while the diesel will up that figure to 31 mpg. Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Canyon Denali will be available in six different exterior colors, but the interior has just one: jet black. Apart from leather seating, the Denali interior also features heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a driver information display, and three USB charging ports. Remote start is standard. The truck rides on 20-inch aluminum rims with painted accents and the exterior design features the unique Denali grille with mesh design along with chrome fog lamp bezels and assist steps and a standard spray-in bed liner. GMC says the 2016 Canyon Denali will go on sale in late 2016. –
