Job Overview
Valuation Specialists research to determine the fair market value for vehicles and other assets. These values are then used for loss claims, financing, or other purposes. Research is done using internet databases, the DCI Solution database, as well as direct quotes from other outside resources. The role of Valuation Specialist is 100% remote work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish fair market value of vehicles and other assets
- Update and confirm asset information from dealerships, customers, and other research
- Maintain relationships with dealers and claims adjusters
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Computer skills with a strong background in Microsoft Office programs
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- Experience and/or knowledge of automotive, commercial, power sports, or recreational vehicles.
- Customer service experience, preferably with an insurance or automotive organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Desktop or laptop computer (preferably with dual monitors)
- Reliable high-speed broadband internet service required
- Smart phone
Other Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the vehicle insurance/claims industry
- Previous experience working from home
